Leone Stars Team Manager, Abdul Karim Bangura, has departed for Rabat, Morocco, to take part in the prestigious FIFA Campus – Essential Course for National-Team Managers (2026 edition).
The programme, organized by FIFA in collaboration with the International Centre for Sports Studies, aims to strengthen the capacity of national-team managers through practical knowledge and professional development.
Prior to his departure, Bangura successfully completed a four-week training phase comprising self-paced online modules and live virtual sessions led by FIFA experts. He is now attending the in-person workshop in Rabat, scheduled to run from April 13 to 15, 2026.
The course focuses on key areas such as team management roles and responsibilities, stakeholder and risk management, budget planning, tournament operations, and governance frameworks-critical components in modern football administration.
Speaking ahead of his trip, Bangura expressed appreciation for the opportunity, noting that the training will enhance his understanding of his role and enable him to make a stronger impact on the Leone Stars setup.
He also extended gratitude to the Sierra Leone Football Association for supporting his participation in the programme, which is expected to contribute to the continued professionalization of football management in Sierra Leone.
