A resident of Waterloo, Western Area, has been reported missing after she failed to return home following a morning trip to a local mosque on Saturday, 17 May 2026.

The missing woman, identified as Salamatu Conteh, who resides at 61 Cole Street, Waterloo, reportedly left her home at about 6:00 a.m. to attend prayers at a nearby mosque but has not been seen since.

Family members said Salamatu, originally from Pepel in Port Loko District, was last observed walking from her residence toward the mosque on Cole Street. According to relatives, a search was conducted across the neighbourhood throughout the day, but no trace of her whereabouts has been found.

Her disappearance has since raised concern within the community, with family members describing the situation as distressing and unusual.

The family is now appealing to the public for assistance in locating her, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward or report to the nearest police station.

They have also provided contact numbers for information: 031070620 and 077754292, and indicated that a reward is being offered for credible information that could lead to her safe return.
