The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has unveiled the official Leone Stars squad for the upcoming double-header international friendlies against regional rivals, Liberia. The team will be led by recently appointed caretaker head coach, John Edward Keister.
The two matches will take place during the June FIFA International Window. According to the SLFA, the fixtures are designed to build team cohesion, improve tactics, and maintain competitive form ahead of future international competitions.
Leg 1 (Home): Sierra Leone vs. Liberia — Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Southern Arena in Bo City.
Leg 2 (Away): Liberia vs. Sierra Leone — Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the SKD Sports Complex in Monrovia.
The SLFA is encouraging fans across the country to turn out in large numbers at the Southern Arena to support the national team during the home leg.
Keister, an experienced tactician who also currently serves as the SLFA Technical Director, will manage the team pending the recruitment of a permanent head coach. He is supported on the touchline by Alhaji Foray as Assistant Coach I and Mohamed Lamin Kamara as Assistant Coach II.
