MoGCA Reaffirms Commitment to Women’s Empowerment During High-Level Engagement With Irish Delegation

The Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs (MoGCA) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women’s empowerment and gender equality during a high-level engagement with Irish parliamentarians, female legislators, development partners, and members of the Network of Women Ministers and Parliamentarians (NEWMaP).

The meeting, held in the Speaker’s Conference Room at Parliament, brought together key stakeholders, including Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs Dr. Isata Mahoi, female parliamentarians, representatives of the Irish Parliament, development partners, civil society organisations, and officials from MoGCA and Parliament.

The engagement concluded with a renewed commitment from MoGCA, Trócaire, the Irish Parliament, NEWMaP, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in advancing gender equality, women’s leadership, and sustainable development initiatives across Sierra Leone.
