The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has extended its condolences to the All People’s Congress (APC) following the death of the party’s National Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray.
In a condolence message dated 15 June 2026 and addressed to the APC National Secretary General, the ruling party described the late Mansaray as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to national development, peace, and democracy would be long remembered.
Signed by SLPP National Secretary General, Paran Umar Tarawally, the message stated that the party received news of Mansaray’s passing with profound sadness.
It noted that throughout his public service career, he served Sierra Leone in several key capacities, including as Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Minister of Labour, and later as National Chairman of the APC.
The SLPP acknowledged Mansaray’s role in promoting national cohesion and democratic governance, emphasizing that his years of service left a significant mark on the country’s political and public life.
The party conveyed its deepest sympathies to the APC leadership, members, and supporters, as well as to the bereaved family. It described his death as an irreparable loss and expressed solidarity with those mourning his passing.
Highlighting the need for national unity in moments of grief, the SLPP stated that despite political differences, Sierra Leoneans remain united in sorrow during times of loss. The party also offered prayers for the late APC Chairman, asking that he be granted eternal peace and that his family and party be given the strength and resilience to bear the loss.
The condolence message concluded with a prayer for the repose of Mansaray’s soul and reaffirmed the SLPP’s support to the APC and the bereaved family during this difficult period.
