The Tankoro Police Division in Kono District have arrested a suspected drug dealer, Sheriff Koroma, popularly known as “Mystic,” during an intelligence-led operation targeting illegal drug activities in the area.
According to police, the operation led to the recovery of 95 bundles of suspected Cannabis Sativa, along with quantities of Tramadol believed to have been in the suspect’s possession at the time of his arrest.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to establish the source of the drugs and to determine whether the suspect is linked to a wider drug trafficking network operating within or beyond the district.
The arrest forms part of a broader campaign by the Sierra Leone Police aimed at tackling drug abuse and related criminal activities in Kono District.
Police have also called on residents to continue providing credible information to support ongoing efforts to maintain safety and security within their communities.
