The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and Orange Sierra Leone have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their collaboration to advance football development across the country.

This followed a courtesy visit by SLFA President Babadi Kamara to the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, Aicha Toure, on Wednesday, July 1st, where both institutions discussed expanding their existing partnership beyond the FA Cup competition.

Kamara, accompanied by SLFA General Secretary, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh, expressed appreciation for Orange Sierra Leone’s sponsorship of the 2026 FA Cup, describing it as instrumental to the success of the tournament.

He emphasized the Association’s readiness to build on this momentum by delivering a more competitive and better-organized FA Cup next season, while also exploring broader areas of cooperation.

Key among the discussions was the potential extension of support to the Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League and the Women’s Premier League, reflecting a shared vision to promote inclusive football growth nationwide.

Orange Sierra Leone’s CEO, Aicha Toure, alongside senior management including Danetta Younge and Abdramane Kone, welcomed the engagement and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting football development in Sierra Leone.

The company also expressed confidence in the leadership of the SLFA and its ongoing efforts to enhance the visibility and commercial value of the sport.

The meeting highlights a growing synergy between the SLFA and the private sector, as both sides continue to explore strategic partnerships to elevate football at all levels in the country.
