President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio on Sunday, 26 July 2026, joined bereaved family members, church leaders and congregants to pay their final respects to Reverend Prophetess Mrs. Margaret Nabeh Brandon during her funeral service in Freetown.
In a statement issued after the ceremony, President Bio described the late Reverend Prophetess Brandon as a remarkable woman whose life of faith, service and compassion left a lasting impact on the many people she encountered.
The President said he and the First Lady joined the family and the entire church community in heartfelt mourning as they bid farewell to the respected clergywoman.
“Our hearts are heavy with grief, but her profound impact on the many lives she touched will be a lasting source of comfort and inspiration,” President Bio stated.
He noted that although her passing is deeply painful, her enduring legacy of service, commitment to the Christian faith and dedication to humanity will continue to inspire generations.
President Bio further assured the bereaved family, friends and members of the church that Reverend Prophetess Brandon’s memory would remain cherished, adding that her contributions and positive influence would not be forgotten.
He concluded by honoring the late religious leader’s enduring legacy while extending heartfelt condolences to her family, loved ones and the wider church community as they mourn her passing.
