Speaker of Parliament Hon. Segepoh Thomas ordered two Members of Parliament out of the Well of Parliament after they engaged in a quarrel during debate on the Constitutional Amendment Bill.

The MPs ordered out of the House are Hon. Ibrahim Barrie of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party, representing Bombali district and Hon. Komba Quee of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), representing Kono district.

The action was taken during the ongoing parliamentary sitting as lawmakers continue deliberations on the Constitution of Sierra Leone (Amendment) Bill, 2025.

The Speaker also issued a stern warning to members of the public and other visitors in the gallery, reminding them that they are strangers to the House and must remain silent and conduct themselves appropriately.

He cautioned that anyone who continues to create noise or disrupt proceedings would be removed from the parliamentary chamber
