Two Sierra Leonean referees, Aminata Fullah and Sulaiman Santio Kamara, have received appointments from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), according to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
Fullah has been appointed as Fourth Official for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 Group Stage match between Tanzania and Côte d’Ivoire, scheduled for 4 August 2026 in Casablanca.
The appointment marks her second assignment at the tournament, following her historic role as centre referee during the match between Mali and Cape Verde, making her the first Sierra Leonean referee to officiate at Africa’s premier women’s football competition.
Meanwhile, Sulaiman Santio Kamara has been appointed as Referee for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers (WAFU B) fixture between Burkina Faso and Niger, scheduled for 5 August 2026 in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
This will also be Kamara’s second assignment in the competition after previously serving as centre referee for the match between Togo and Nigeria.
The latest CAF appointments highlight the increasing recognition of Sierra Leonean match officials on the continental stage and further underline the country’s growing presence in African football officiating.
