The Sierra Leone Association of Communications and Public Relations Practitioners (SLACPRP) has welcomed its second cohort of members at a special induction and networking event held on Friday evening at BBOX in Freetown.
The event brought together communications and public relations professionals from government institutions, non-governmental organisations and the private sector for an evening of networking, professional exchange and community building.
The gathering featured introductions, conversations and interactions among practitioners, highlighting the importance of collaboration and building a strong professional community for communications and public relations practitioners in Sierra Leone.
Speaking at the ceremony, SLACPRP Interim President Sallieu Sesay described the induction as a significant milestone for the communications and public relations profession in the country.
“This is hope for the comms and PR practitioners in Sierra Leone and it has been a long dream,” Sesay said.
He noted that the induction of the second cohort forms part of the association’s broader efforts to strengthen its membership, promote collaboration and contribute to raising professional standards within the communications and public relations industry.
The association said it was delighted to welcome the new members and expressed its commitment to building a professional community that connects, collaborates and contributes to strengthening the practice of communications and public relations in Sierra Leone.
The evening was marked by warm conversations, networking and celebration as practitioners strengthened existing relationships while creating new professional connections.
The event also underscored SLACPRP’s continued efforts to bring professionals across different sectors together and create a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration and professional development.
