Sierra Leone’s U-23 national team, the Young Leone Stars, have been drawn against Burkina Faso in the first round of the TotalEnergies CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers.
According to the official fixture release from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the first leg is scheduled for Monday, 28 September 2026, with Sierra Leone serving as the home side.
The return leg will be played on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, when Sierra Leone will travel to face Burkina Faso.
The stakes are high for both West African nations, with the winner of the two-legged tie on aggregate advancing to the second round of the qualifiers, where Zambia awaits.
