The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has announced its relocation to a new office address in central Freetown, with the move taking effect immediately.

In a public notice dated August 26, 2026, and signed by Senior Permanent Secretary Foday Sesay, the Ministry informed government institutions, development partners and members of the public that its new office is located at No. 5 Old Railway Line, Tengbeh Town.

The Ministry said the new location is accessible from the Lodge, shortly before the First Bridge on the left-hand side.

All future official communications and correspondence addressed to the Ministry have been directed to the new office.

The relocation notice was copied to several senior government officials and institutions, including the Secretary to the President, Secretary to the Vice President, Secretary to the Cabinet, Director-General of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), and senior officials within the Ministries of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and Foreign Affairs.

The move is expected to improve accessibility for government institutions, partners and other stakeholders engaging with the Ministry on environmental policy, climate change initiatives, environmental regulation and related projects.

The Ministry has urged all stakeholders to take note of the new address and use it for future correspondence and official engagements.
