The Guma Valley Water Company has announced an interruption in water supply affecting customers and residents in parts of Aberdeen and along Lumley Beach Road in Freetown.
According to a public notice issued by the company, the disruption was caused by damage to a 4-inch main pipe at the Aberdeen Roundabout, near Dance Troupe Village.
Guma Valley said the damage occurred as a result of ongoing building construction works in the area.
The company said efforts are currently underway to assess the extent of the damage and carry out the necessary repairs to restore normal water supply to the affected communities.
The areas currently experiencing the interruption include sections of Aberdeen Roundabout, the Tambakula Wharf area, and Lumley Beach Road.
Guma Valley Water Company expressed regret over the disruption and any inconvenience it may cause customers and residents.
The company also appealed for the patience and understanding of affected customers as repair works continue.
