Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, joined senior Guinean officials and diplomats for the official launch of Guinea’s new Foreign Policy Document in Conakry on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Jalloh attended the high-level event as a Special Guest of the Guinean Government during his two-day working visit to the country. The launch was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the aegis of Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah.
The Prime Minister said Guinea’s new foreign policy will focus on sovereignty, strategic neutrality, economic transformation, peace and African integration. He said the country’s diplomatic missions should promote investment, employment, infrastructure development, skills transfer and technology.
Bah also identified good neighbourliness, shared security, economic corridors, energy cooperation and coordinated border management as key areas of regional cooperation.
Earlier, the Guinean Prime Minister paid a courtesy call on Vice President Jalloh at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Conakry, highlighting the growing diplomatic engagement and cooperation between Sierra Leone and Guinea.
Jalloh’s participation in the foreign policy launch forms part of Sierra Leone’s continued diplomatic engagement with Guinea and reflects the two countries’ shared interest in strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation.
