Nollywood actress, filmmaker and producer Uche Jombo on Friday, September 11, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Fatima Maada Bio, at her office in Goderich.
According to First Lady Fatima Bio, Jombo’s visit was particularly special because she had also experienced the world of acting herself. She said her experience in the film industry gave her a deeper appreciation of the power of storytelling, culture and creativity in shaping society.
The First Lady stated that although her journey had taken her from acting to public service and advocacy, she remained proud of the role African filmmakers continue to play in telling African stories and inspiring generations.
“It was a pleasure sharing this memorable moment with Uche Jombo. Our platforms may change, but our responsibility to inspire and positively impact lives remains,” she said.
