Former President Ernest Bai Koroma has attended Sunday service at the Wesleyan Church in Ferry Junction, Freetown, marking his first church service in Sierra Leone since returning to the country after more than two and a half years abroad.

The former president attended the service alongside his wife, Sia Nyuma Koroma, their daughter Alice and granddaughter Lizy on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Koroma’s visit to the Wesleyan Church carries a strong personal connection, as the church has been part of his life since childhood.

His return to the church comes shortly after his return to Sierra Leone, where he spent more than two and a half years abroad before coming back to the country.
