APC National Secretary-General aspirant Dr Vandy Konneh has called for greater unity, inclusivity and strategic planning as the opposition party prepares for its next phase.
Speaking on AYV’s Wake Up Sierra Leone, Konneh said the All People’s Congress must consolidate ideas within the party and establish a clear direction as it seeks to position itself for future governance.
“Now is the time to bring our ideas together and build a political party with a clear vision and a future to govern this country in the best possible way,” he said.
Konneh said he believes his experience and background make him capable of contributing to the APC’s organisational development and the wider development of Sierra Leone.
“I believe I am one of the quality individuals the APC is looking for, not only to help develop the party but also to contribute to the development of the country.”
He also pointed to his work advocating for the political participation of persons with disabilities, saying the party has introduced provisions that would allow them to participate as delegates.
“Through my efforts, the party now has a clear provision for inclusivity for persons with disabilities, and they are going to be delegates,” Konneh said.
Konneh said that, if elected National Secretary General, he would focus on the party’s internal growth and development while working toward the APC’s stated political objective of challenging the Sierra Leone People’s Party in the 2028 elections.
“I will be responsible for the APC’s internal growth and development, while developing strategies to remove the SLPP from State House in 2028.”

Public records also document Konneh’s previous work in disability advocacy. A 2024 parliamentary appointments report described his background in advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities and listed his previous roles in disability-related institutions and initiatives.
