Northeast Police Engage EBKUST on Campus Security and Cooperation

Northeast Regional Police Commander, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Esther Kaintor Dukuray, has paid a courtesy visit to Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST) in Magburaka, with discussions centred on strengthening cooperation between the police and the university.

AIG Dukuray was received by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of EBKUST, Rev. Professor Edwin J.J. Momoh, at the university’s secretariat. The visit focused on the longstanding working relationship between the institution and the Magburaka Police Division.

The university described Dukuray as an alumna of EBKUST, noting that her appointment as Regional Police Commander provides an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration on security and other matters affecting the university community.

Prof. Momoh highlighted the institution’s existing relationship with the Magburaka Division and welcomed continued police cooperation to support safety and security on campus.

The engagement comes as EBKUST prepares for upcoming activities, including its Students’ Union elections and the university’s Pitch Night scheduled for April 24.

Dukuray, according to the university, expressed her commitment to supporting a safe environment and peaceful collaboration as the institution prepares for the activities.

EBKUST said it looks forward to working with the new Northeast Regional Police Commander to promote security and peaceful engagements involving students, staff and other members of the university community.
