The Sierra Leone Premier League Board (PLB) has announced the staging of the Unity Cup 2026 and confirmed October 10, 2026, as the official kick-off date for the 2026/27 Leone Rock Premier League season.

The Unity Cup is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, at the Southern Arena in Bo, with free entry for spectators. The curtain-raiser will feature Leone Rock Premier League champions Bo Rangers FC against Orange Sierra Leone FA Cup winners East End Lions FC.

According to the Premier League Board, the Unity Cup will serve as a pre-season fixture ahead of the new league campaign and bring together the winners of Sierra Leone’s two major domestic football competitions.

The PLB said the full fixture for the 2026/27 season will be published at a later date.

The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a professionally organised and competitive league while promoting fair play, discipline and the continued development of football in Sierra Leone.

It called on clubs, players, coaches, match officials, supporters, sponsors and other football stakeholders to work together towards a successful 2026/27 season.
