First Lady Fatima Bio Engages Plan International on Africa’s Women and Children
First Lady Fatima Maada Bio has held a meeting with the leadership of Plan International to discuss critical issues affecting women, girls and children across Africa.
In a statement following the meeting, the First Lady described the engagement as a great pleasure, noting that discussions focused on protecting the rights of girls, investing in their education and wellbeing, and strengthening partnerships to create sustainable opportunities for the next generation.
She said she values partnerships with organisations that share a commitment to ensuring that every girl can grow up safe, educated, empowered and free to fulfil her potential.
The First Lady acknowledged that much work remains to be done in addressing challenges affecting women, girls and children, stressing that collaboration remains key to achieving lasting change.
