Young Man Struck to Death by Falling Timber in Kailahun

A young man identified as Charles, reportedly from Yayama Village, has died after being struck by a piece of wood at Bandajuma Sinneh in Kailahun District on Monday, September 28, 2026.

According to eyewitnesses, Charles was travelling as a passenger on a motorbike when a piece of wood being cut by a power-saw operator suddenly fell onto the road and struck him.

He was reportedly killed instantly in the incident. The motorbike rider also sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.
