Kumba Sinah Appeals For National Support For Guinness World Record Longest Cooking Marathon Attempt
Former Housemates Salone Reality TV show Kumba Sinal, commonly called Kumzee, has called for national support as she is set to attempt the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon, with only weeks left until the attempt.
In a social media post, Kumzee said she has submitted proposals to various banks, government ministries and private companies, but is still awaiting approvals.
“I am humbly calling on His Excellency the President, our First Lady, Government Ministries, corporate bodies, groups and individuals to support Sierra Leone’s attempt at the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon,” she wrote.
“With only weeks remaining, I have submitted proposals to various banks, ministries and companies and am still awaiting approvals. I am doing this for our nation’s pride, and I need our collective support to make it a success.”
According to Kumzee, the attempt is not just personal but for the entire nation.
She tagged First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, and several public figures and platforms.
If successful, the attempt would be Sierra Leone’s third Guinness World Record, following the largest Sampa dance at the National Stadium in 2012 and Mary Yongai’s 2024 record for the most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours, when she completed 111 makeovers, breaking a 19-year-old record.
The chef is now urging President Julius Maada Bio, First Lady Fatima Bio, corporate Sierra Leone and the public to support her with funding, logistics and publicity to make the historic cook-a-thon possible.
