JFK Should Recuse Himself As Lead Counsel, or Risk Losing Constitutional Amendment Case – Melvin T Mansaray
Popular Journalist and analyst Melvin Tejan Mansaray has predicted that former Attorney General Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK) cannot win the ongoing Supreme Court case challenging the Constitutional Amendment Bill.
Mansaray described JFK, who is lead counsel, as taking an adversarial posture towards the bench.
Mansaray was speaking on Epic Radio Morning Show on the topic: “Constitutional Amendment Bill – Key Highlights From The Supreme Court Hearing.”
Mansaray said JFK’s disposition and personal conflict with the judges have placed him in a psychologically disadvantaged position.
According to him, a lawyer cannot take such an adversarial position against the bench and still expect a free mental state to argue the case. He warned that JFK’s approach has endangered other members of the legal team.
He offered what he called free advice to the plaintiffs, urging them to respectfully ask JFK to step down as lead counsel while remaining part of the team.
