The Ambassador of France to Sierra Leone and Guinea, Marc Fonbaustier visited the Mayor of Freetown, Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr in her office at Freetown City Council (FCC).

Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr and Ambassador Marc in the presence of MDU Team Lead, Mrs. Manja Kargbo discussed about some of the projects her office implemented through the #TransformFreetown agenda. They also discussed about the challenges her office is facing and her ambition to transform Freetown.

Ambassador Marc commended the work of Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr and the staff of Freetown City Council. Both parties promised to strengthen their bilateral relationships by collaborating on shared interests.

Ambassador Marc Fonbaustier was accompanied by his Chargés d’Affaires, Romain Vuillaume and others. Mayor Aki-Sawyerr thanked the Ambassador for the visit.

She expressed appreciation for the visit of the Ambassador. Her Worship posted on Facebook;

The courtesy visit was a great opportunity for me and Ambassador Fonbaustier to chat about some of the exciting work FCC is implementing through the #TransformFreetown agenda, including the property tax reform and FreetownTheTreeTown. We also discussed the challenges so far and what lies ahead for the realization of our ambitious agenda.

Ambassador Fonbaustier commended our work so far and promised to strengthen bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and France by collaborating on shared interests.
