Residents, Market Women Demand Urgent Action on Gbondapi Road in Pujehun
Residents and market women in Pujehun Town and Gbondapi have expressed concern over the deplorable condition of the Gbondapi Road, calling on the relevant authorities to urgently intervene and rehabilitate it.
Gbondapi is known for hosting a periodic market that attracts traders, farmers and buyers from different parts of Sierra Leone. However, residents say the poor state of the road has created significant difficulties for travellers, traders, motorists and other road users, particularly during the rainy season.

Market women, who rely on the road to transport agricultural produce and other goods to nearby communities and markets, say the deteriorating conditions have increased transportation costs, delayed the movement of goods and disrupted their daily business activities.
They believe that rehabilitating the road would improve transportation, facilitate trade, boost economic activities and enhance access to essential services.
The residents are therefore urging the relevant authorities to treat the matter as a priority in the interest of the people of Gbondapi and surrounding communities.
