“I Don’t Want Anything to do With Sierra Leone Football Again” – What Mohammed Kallon Said After SLFA Disqualification in 2013
Sierra Leonean Football Legend and Chairman of F.C Kallon, Mohammed Kallon has vowed to disassociate himself with anything related with the Sierra Leone Football. Kallon said this after He was disqualified from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) elections in 2013.
Kallon who played for Inter Milan and AS Monaco is currently aspiring to lead the SLFA in 2021 but has been disqualified again having failed to meet the nomination requirements.
In 2013, Kallon was disqualified for not meeting the requirement of Article 32 (4) of the SLFA Constitution which requires him to have resided in Sierra Leone for a period of no less than five years prior to the election date.
Kallon who rejected the decision at that time stated that it was politically motivated. According to the Ace Striker, the then Minister of Sports, Paul Kamara deliberately disqualified him to have Isha Johansen elected unopposed.
He added, “I have given over 19 years of my life playing for Sierra Leone, spent a lot of cash on Kallon FC and helped to develop kids – more than 15 boys now have a career professional football abroad – and produced 80% of the players now playing for Leone Stars, this is how they are paying me back.
“I now know I’m not appreciated and wanted in Sierra Leone by the government as a whole. In this regard my team Kallon FC are dead. I don’t want anything to do with Sierra Leone football again.”
But after that 2013 saga we saw stakeholders of the football and government pleaded to Mohamed Kallon and asked he work with Isha and was even given the chance to coach the under 20 side. You cannot take away Sierra Leone football from Kallon if you want to referee Kallon’s statement in 2013 in which we all know how he was humiliated. But my question to you is did he abandon his F C Kallon or did he stop in inviting and scouting fo take Sierra Leonean players out?
I told you, but you don’t believe me, you don’thave degree. Salone will never appreciate you. Continue to kill your self for them. One thing they are failing to realize is, those who are willing to do the job, will do it more better than those who are qualified to do it. Pull hand pan salone me brother leh you go do business.

I have advised that he relaxes over the issue and see what God will do in the coming years.
There is an appropriate time for everything. If God wants him there, trust me, when the time comes, it’s just an easy ride.
To me, he deserves so much respect that he does not even need to fight over such an issue at a time like this, when some others have their own motives and look at things from a different angle.

Why are we Sierra Leoneans so ungrateful. Now u want to hold him for a lousy comment. Mohamed kallon have done more for soccer and entertainment in that country more than any salone person or gov, were was Isha,Navo and others when kallon was buying flight ticket 🎫 for players just to come and represent salone. Not to even talk about the two ungrateful child that betrayed the man that makes them who they are today
All the eastern province delegate have declared for Isha because of this man failed to recognized his home district there is no pointers for him
I don’t think kallon will win the presidency even if allow to to be nominated. Non among the people who are allowed to vote are comming into his defence. Don’t think they want to vote for him, it either they vote isha or rodney that’s all they want to know
Sierra Leoneans are hypocrites and ungrateful..look what they are trying to do or bring in social media to propergate so that people will think bad about Kallon and to diminish is possible to be nominated for SLFA President..now we know that it’s a witch hunt and people are really afraid of him..so let’s tell you guy’s now there’s nobody in Sierra Leone who’s competent for that position apart from him..so please think about salone and stop bad heart and selfishness…nonsense idiot’s!

Sierra Leone officials do not and never has shown appreciation for its athletes, especially the successful ones. Its a true shame.
Relax and continue with your business. Avoid dragging into politics.
We want the game to play not on sympathy no Matter what. We hope and pray who ever takes the leadership will deliver not for his or her club but for Sierra Leone
