The Ministry of Internal Affairs has instructed the management of Hastings Toll Gate not to allow vehicles with covered or no number plates to enter or exit the toll gate facility.
This came after concerns gree in the capital city about vehicles that ply streets of the capital without a number plate or with covered number plate.
People have expressed worries about security as criminals may also use the means to perpetrate crime without being noticed or traced.

Following all these, the Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered security personnels at toll gate facilities to impound vehicles without number plates or with covered number plate and hand them over the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority or to the nearest police station.
