Gambia Police have arrested three Sierra Leoneans, a woman, and two men, for possession of Kush and ecstasy pills.

According to Fatu Network, the Police say the suspects were arrested around Sukuta-Jabang Traffic Lights with four kilograms of kush worth D100,000 and 595 pieces of ecstasy pills worth D178,500.

In a nation where over 800,000 youth currently pursue basic education with optimism, Kush is an insidious threat quietly suffocates their potential. The familiar barriers of limited economic prospects, institutional weaknesses, and societal stratification have long demoralized ambitions. But now, an even graver menace permeates the streets targeting The Gambia’s future.

Kush is such a big problem in Sierra Leone and Gambia. It is killing young people en masse, destroying families and the foundation of the two countries.
