A Sierra Leonean Woman residing in the Gambia has made a complaint that they are still paying for a residential permit to stay in the Gambia even though the first Lady of Sierra Leone, Madam Fatima Bio had announced publicly that they can now live in the Gambia freely without worrying to pay for any residential permit.

Three months ago the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Madam Fatima Bio announced publicly that herself and her husband, President Bio had succeeded in their request from the President of the Gambia, Adama Barrow, to lift the residential permit tax for Sierra Leoneans living in the Gambia.

She asked Sierra Leoneans to celebrate with her, assuring that our brothers and sisters will be living in the Gambia for free, as they had succeeded in their request to lift the residential permit tax Sierra Leoneans in Gambia used to pay.

Now all of a sudden, a Sierra Leonean in Gambia has gone live on Facebook complaining of how she had made payments for her residential permit and how she had collected it. She showed the Residential Permit she had paid for and complained that the tax have not been lifted at all.
