The Kellie Foundation a registered Non-governmental Organisation in sierra Lene, has extended its support to vulnerable youths in Makeni, Bombali District. The foundation, led by CEO Elijah Kellie and Moses Kellie, is making a significant impact by addressing the educational needs of these young individuals.

The Kellie Foundation has generously provided school uniforms, bags, shoes, and essential educational materials to deprived schools in Makeni City. Recognizing the alarming risk of drug and substance abuse among vulnerable youths, the foundation aims to divert their focus through educational support.

According to E.Kellie and M.Kellie, the foundation’s mission goes beyond mere assistance; it strives to save lives, transform futures, and inspire young people to effect positive change in their lives and communities. Makeni City, the capital of Bombali District, harbors a considerable population of vulnerable and deprived youths who are susceptible to the perils of drug abuse.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the Kellie Foundation emphasizes the critical role of education in steering these youths away from harmful behaviors. The foundation’s project objectives include the distribution of learning materials, school uniforms, bags, textbooks, shoes, bags of rice, and other essential items to over 500 vulnerable youths attending deprived schools in Makeni City.

The Kellie Foundation’s commitment extends beyond Bombali District, reaching all 16 districts in Sierra Leone. In alignment with its mission to support the educational development of underserved communities, the foundation seeks to create pathways for academic and personal growth, ultimately diverting vulnerable youth from the dangers of substance abuse.

As part of their broader vision, the foundation is concurrently executing another flagship project – feeding 10,000 deprived and underprivileged households. They call upon everyone to join hands in this noble cause, encouraging collective efforts to bring smiles to the less privileged and foster their development. The Kellie Foundation envisions a future where education becomes a beacon of hope, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow for Sierra Leone’s vulnerable youths.
