Limkokwing University Hosts Third Annual Career Fair on Future Job Opportunities
Limkokwing University has brought together technology experts, government officials and development sector representatives for its third annual career fair, focusing on the skills young people need to compete in a changing job market.
The event was held Thursday at the university’s campus grounds in Hill Station, Freetown, under the theme, “Preparing Talents for the Future of Work: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Career Opportunities.”
Discussions focused on the growing influence of digital technology and artificial intelligence on employment, as well as new career opportunities emerging from these changes.

The career fair also provided a platform for students to engage with professionals and gain a better understanding of workplace expectations and opportunities beyond the classroom.
A panel discussion formed part of the programme, with David Colin Ogoo, founder of Christex Foundation, serving as moderator.
The discussion featured Jesse Kamara of the World Bank/International Trade Centre, Jasper Patrick Sembie of DSTI, Sunah Kelli of the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation, and Akwasi Appiah of the Tony Blair Institute.
Limkokwing University organises the annual career fair as part of efforts to connect academic training with professional experience and improve graduates’ readiness for employment.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen the link between education and the skills employers need in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
