Hip-Hop rapper and Peace Ambassador Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as Boss La, has shed light on the reasons behind President Julius Maada Bio’s decision to appoint him as the country’s Peace Ambassador following his release from prison.
Boss La made these clarifications during a Facebook live broadcast, where he addressed various issues affecting him.
He began by noting that in Sierra Leone, individuals are often perceived negatively when they choose to ignore certain situations and remain calm. He emphasized that since his release from prison, he has avoided any negative involvement, which he is proud of.
According to Boss La, President Bio appointed him as Peace Ambassador because he is one of Sierra Leone’s artists who have significantly impacted the entertainment industry and raised its standards. He also highlighted his large following, which he believes enables him to communicate with and mediate among the public when necessary.
“Why did President Bio appoint me as the Peace Ambassador? I believe it’s because I’m one of the artists in Sierra Leone who have made a substantial impact, raised the bar in the industry, have a large following, and can talk to people and help settle matters,” he explained.
Boss La further stated that he achieved his influence through his music. He stressed that he has never been involved in violence, such as killing, shooting, or harming anyone, even though some people often associate his name with negative actions perpetrated by others.
The rapper took to social media to clarify these points amidst an ongoing dispute with fellow hip-hop artist Kao Denero, who serves as the Entertainment Ambassador.
