Popular Sierra Leonean artist Drizilik has opined on his Facebook page that they live in one of the poorest nations in the world.
Drizilik made the statement on his Facebook page while discussing the current state of the entertainment industry as he believes many Sierra Leoneans couldn’t afford to pay to experience Top-notch entertainment.
The rapper who recently performed in One Salone Music festival in America took to his Face book page with a post that states “We live in one of the poorest nations in the world. Our People can’t afford to pay for quality entertainment But you expect entertainers to do big things”
In reaction to his View, one of his online followers , Gibril Salim Sawaneh advised the rapper not to limit himself to Sierra Leone but should work hard to create synergy with Nigerian and Ghanaian Artists.
However, Drizilik Justified his statement as meant for the entire entertainment industry and not his personal growth as an individual.
“Drizilik Bemoans Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Industry”
WhatsApp message from CEO Belinda …
It was a link to a write-up by Morlai Ibrahim Kamara from Sierraloaded, the head line reads “Drizilik Bemoans Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Industry”.
I was curious because Belinda is one who incorporate creatives from many different background into her PROPEL Organization –
I think the post strike a chord with Belinda because she knows the lotta struggle we the artist youth dem face …
Drizilik is one who don pull numerous feats any Sierraleone rapper could think of – (for his pace and time in the industry) as far making the culture and excellence is concerned. Therefore, we know that the statement does not reflect his personal growth as an individual as stated in his post …
I think the fact that he took the time out to reflect on The STRUGGLE means e still nor forget aw e lef os …
Or maybe it’s a reminder of the lotta struggle we the artist youth dem face …
