Sierra Leone’s female musician Fatmata Kamara known by her stage name Faze Ya-Alimamy has been nominated as ‘Best New African Artiste’ at the Global Music Awards Africa (GMAA Awards) in South Africa.
Faze Ya-Alimamy is the only female in the category among 7 men from different African countries.
The Global Music Awards Africa (GMAA Awards) is an annual award, presented by Smart Focus Media that honors outstanding musical accomplishments in Africa, wittypese the goal to discover the next African star.
Faze Ya-Alimamy started her music career in 2015 and has introduced more than 10 songs and has also collaborated with other Sierra Leonean artists over the years.
Faze Ya-Alimamy’s types of music are Afro-beat, Dance-hall, and Rap songs, and has been with different Music Record Labels in Sierra Leone such as Rap Money Record and Wilbert Music.
