The Office of the Ambassador of Entertainment has publicly denied claims that Ambassador Amara Dennis Turay, popularly known as “Kao Denero,” was invited to collaborate on the upcoming Independence song titled “Together We Rise.”
The clarification comes in response to recent statements made by Lordmo De Goldenfingers, President of the Association of Music Producers and Engineers in Sierra Leone (AMPESL).
During two separate radio interviews, Goldenfingers reportedly announced that the Ambassador had been invited to feature on the track alongside other artists.
In a public statement released Wednesday, April 22, the Ambassador’s office categorically refuted the claim, stating it has received “no formal or informal invitation” regarding the project. The office further specified that there has been no official letter, text message, phone call, or any other direct or indirect communication concerning the production of the song.
While expressing appreciation for initiatives that foster patriotism and collaboration within the entertainment sector, the office stressed the necessity of proper communication protocols.
“It is important, for the sake of transparency and professionalism, that public statements regarding collaborations or participation by public offices are preceded by proper engagement and confirmation,” the statement read, noting that such measures prevent misunderstandings and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
Ambassador Turay reaffirmed his office’s commitment to supporting national initiatives and celebrating Sierra Leone’s independence, adding that the office remains open to meaningful collaboration “when approached through appropriate channels.”
