Day two of the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival has seen contestants from around the world begin official preparations for the competition, with Miss World Sierra Leone 2026, Mariyam Lorba Konneh, taking part in early rehearsals for the upcoming Opening Ceremony.

Following her arrival in Vietnam after a long journey, Konneh completed her initial rest period before joining fellow delegates for their first official group breakfast and subsequent rehearsals and pageant activities.

Speaking about her second day at the international competition, the Sierra Leonean representative expressed confidence and excitement about representing her country on the global stage.

“I am feeling very confident and excited. The environment is great, and everyone has been nice to me,” Konneh said.

“I had a great sleep and some time to rest after a long flight, and I have been able to prepare for the programmes ahead. This morning, I joined my fellow queens from across the world for our first official breakfast and rehearsals. I feel honoured and privileged to be representing Sierra Leone, raising the Green, White, and Blue flag , and showcasing our rich heritage, culture, and values.”

Konneh’s participation comes as delegates continue a series of official activities, rehearsals, talent showcases and other events leading up to the grand finale.

The 2026 edition is being held as part of Miss World’s 75th anniversary celebrations, with contestants from more than 100 countries expected to participate in activities throughout the competition.

The Grand Final is scheduled for September 5, 2026, where the next Miss World will be crowned.
