Sierraloaded is hiring Interns to work at our Freetown office. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated and experienced journalists, attend regular editorial meetings and participate in our editorial process.

Our intern will be assigned to the digital news team, which creates content consumed by thousands of people every day – from dynamic breaking news coverage to hard-hitting feature journalism. There will be opportunities to hone your researching skills, sharpen your news writing, contribute to Sierraloaded stories.
We’re looking for curious, versatile, enthusiastic and proactive candidates with an interest in both news, documentaries, and features content, long and short-form video, with a mixture of technical and editorial skills.
In this department, our Intern will assist our graphics team, producers, editors and supervisors across the full gamut of video production, from the research and pitching stage right through to postproduction and all stages in between.
Interns will help with covering, reporting and presenting stories, as well as planning, writing scripts and articles. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for a story, strong organisational skills, an ability to multi-task, and a good understanding of both TV and digital platforms.
Our intern will work with our social media team to take our digital presence to the next level and build a vibrant online community that reflects who we are. You’ll be part of the voice and creative force behind our online platforms. From crafting captivating content to executing innovative strategies, you’ll be part of how we connect, engage, and continuously tell stories.
You will learn how to create captivating and on-brand content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, tailored for each platform.
Our Intern will play a key role in assisting our PR and marketing communications team, ensuring smooth communication and the effective delivery of our PR services. This role is essential in maintaining client satisfaction, building lasting relationships, and contributing to the success of our projects & PR campaigns.
Sierraloaded is an online media company based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. It primarily focuses on delivering news, music, videos, and entertainment content related to Sierra Leone and the broader African continent.
Sierraloaded is known for promoting Sierra Leonean artists and providing updates on local and international events. It aims to be a hub for Sierra Leonean culture and entertainment, reaching a diverse audience both within the country and abroad. We are the platform leading in reach – with over 3 million users on our platforms to date.
In addition, we produce content and creative digital PR and marketing solutions for top brands. We’re empowering brands with our expansive media reach and 360-degree in-house marketing solutions.
