Ady Macaulay, Lawyer and  flag-bearer aspirant for the All People’s Congress (APC), has distributed hundreds of school supplies to children affected by a recent fire outbreak in Aberdeen.

The blaze, which occurred weeks ago, devastated homes and left many families struggling, particularly affecting the educational needs of local children.

The fire resulted in the loss of essential school materials for numerous students, including books, bags, uniforms, and stationery. Recognizing the urgent need for support, Mr. Macaulay organized a community outreach event on Wednesday, providing school bags filled with vital learning materials.

Each of the supplied bags include exercise books, pens, pencils, and additional supplies, along with an envelope containing Le200, aimed at offering financial assistance to affected families.

During the distribution ceremony, Mr. Macaulay affirmed the importance of education and the necessity of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to continue their studies despite their challenging circumstances.

“Education is the most powerful tool we can give to our children. These kids have lost everything, but we must not allow them to lose their future too,” he stated. He mentioned that the initiative was not merely about providing school supplies but about restoring hope and dignity to the children.

The event attracted community members, parents, and local leaders, many of whom expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support provided. For the beneficiaries, the gesture marked a crucial step toward regaining a sense of normalcy after the trauma of losing their homes.
