Popular female politician, Sylvia Olayinka Bylden has condemned Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr for using the ‘’Mayor’’ initial without adding ‘’former’’ as an impersonation.

On 1 March 2023, all Mayors and District Chairpersons were ordered by the Minitry of Local Government to vacate office after their tenure of office ended. Therefore, Dr. Blyden blasted the Former Mayor of Freetown for still referring to herself as Mayor in her Easter message.

Her post shared on Facebook reads as follows:

‘’Acts of LAWLESSNESS by Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr should be curtailed. She is no longer Mayor of Freetown but Yvonne continues to impersonate with title of Mayor and not even using “Former Mayor” but “Mayor”. Where is she still a Mayor please? Certainly NOT Freetown where she was worst ever Mayor – failed, corrupt, lawless, thieving; an abject failure. This Easter Message of hers is lawless impersonation. So cheap of her.

Also, can someone please tell Yvonne that she will NEVER enjoy the natural popularity that God gave to me (Sylvia Olayinka Blyden). Even if Yvonne wears 100 Krio print dresses to go to Magistrate Court so she can be moulded in the now-trademark image of Sylvia Blyden (like Yvonne is lately doing when attending Criminal Trial for lawlessness at Airport Police Station) and even if she dresses for her today’s Easter message like Sylvia Olayinka Blyden was dressed when Sylvia got honoured by Parliament few days ago!  

Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr will NEVER enjoy my natural popularity. Yvonne has ALWAYS been seeking transference from Sylvia Olayinka Blyden’s strong political standing but oh yah. Oh yah.

Yvonne’s popularity is within the LAWLESS NGC-COPPP/PPP-APC-Jihadists circles. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has a universal appeal across the four corners of the country and within every sober-minded political persuasion. 

Once again, this open defiance by Yvonne of the lawful directive of the President Maada Bio Central Government is pure LAWLESSNESS. She is no longer Mayor of Freetown. This Easter message of hers is just cheap impersonation. 

Yvonne has also been impersonating the position of Mayor of Freetown to International Guests on Freetown City Council projects like so-called Cable Car project. 

Yvonne’s lawlessness is deliberate & must be curtailed. The Central Government should call her to Order. She has no business positioning herself as still being Mayor of Freetown – neither internationally nor locally. She should be sternly cautioned and WARNED.’’
