Justice Alhaji Momoh-Jah Stevens in Freetown has acquitted and discharged, Gbessay Kargbo and Amadu Bailor Jalloh popularly known as Network of murder.
The two men were discharged for murder after a 12-man jury panel returned a not guilty verdict.
Kargbo and Jalloh first appeared for preliminary investigation at the Magistrate court last year March for conspiracy to commit a murder and murder.
During the PI, the prosecution led in evidence Government Consultant Pathologist, Simeon Owizz Koroma who testified that the death of the alleged victim to be unnatural.
The two men were later committed to the High Court for trial based on evidence from the lower court.
During the trial, the prosecution led in evidence several witnesses who implicated the two men.
Evidence from the prosecutor, Musa Pious Sesay revealed that the fracas ensued from a civil matter for a plot of land. The first defendant was said to have made threatening remarks against the now deceased in court after he testified against him.
The Prosecutor in his summing up said the second accused together with other men was later said have been seen beating the now deceased at Madonkeh Village.
Witnesses said that they spotted Kargbo and Jalloh leaving the scene with a motorbike later.
During the matter the two accused vehemently denied the allegation in court and at the police.
The 12-man jury were retired in a private room to decide the fate of the two men based on the evidence in court returned with a not guilty verdict.
