Magistrate Marke Ngegba of Court No.2 in Freetown has sentenced one Mohammed Kallon to four months imprisonment after he was found guilty of stealing.

Sierraloaded reports that Kallon was sentenced on Monday, 16th August, 2021 after being found guilty of stealing from one Alhaji Mohammed Barrie different items, amounting to Sixty-four million, five hundred thousand leones (Le64,500,000).

The convict was charged with one count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1961.

The charge sheet states that the accused, on Monday, 31st May, 2021, at Goderich in Freetown, stole seven pairs of shoes valued at Le35, 000,000, one H.P Laptop computer valued at Le15m, four T-shirts valued at Le4M, six long jean trousers valued at Le4M and a fiscal cash of Le6, 500,000, totalling Le64,500,000.

The accused, after the charges were read to him, pleaded guilty of the offence and pleaded with the magistrate to temper justice with mercy.

Magistrate Ngegba therefore sentenced him to four months imprisonment.
