High Court Dismisses Rape Charges Against Police Officer

PC Augustine Dauda, a police officer who is accused of rape has been vindicated in Pujehun district by the High Court criminal sessions.

The accused was reported for an alleged rape case of a 20-year-old convict, Adama Koroma.

During the on-going high court criminal session, the victim, Adama Koroma denied of been raped by the accused, ‘’he didn’t rape me’’ and it is noted that, the police officer had long been dismissed and still on trial.

This came about, following the ‘’Access to justice to every citizen, regardless of social status or regional background’’ plans projected by the Judiciary of Sierra Leone to implement a mobile strategy in the High Court Criminal Session which began on Monday 27^th February, 2023 – 4^th March, 2023.
