Court Orders Bench Warrant For Town Chief
Aaron Parker The Magistrate Court of Freetown has ordered a bench warrant for Alhaji Ansumana Kallon, the Town Chief of Beleby Village, Kenema District on one count charge of obtaining goods by false pretense, contrary to Section 32(1) of the larceny Act of 1916.
According to Particulars of offense, Alhaji Ansumana kallon on the 22nd of September 2020 at Fourah bay College defraud and obtained certain properties that are to say yo be a white Toyota Hilux vehicle AAG 454 Val five thousand United state dollars equivalent to seventy-two million five hundred thousand new Leones from the complainant Augustine Ansumana Garmoh by falsely pretending to buy the said vehicle.
When the matter was mentioned in court by magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.1, the accused was no were to be seen.
The prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Lahai M applied for a bench warrant which was granted by the setting Magistrate.
The matter was adjourned to the 9th of February 2023 for a further hearing.
