The family of a young rape victim have earnestly called out for justice in a case involving their eight-year-old girl who was allegedly denied justice after being raped in Kenema District.

The victim’s family has voiced their concerns for human rights organizations and the public to assist them in seeking justice for their young daughter, whom they said is battling with serious health challenge due to the assault.

Reports indicated that the girl was sexually assaulted, prompting her family to report the incident to the police. Investigations confirmed the evidence, and the case was subsequently transferred to the Kenema High Court.

Report further revealed that Magistrate Abdulai Sheriff ruled in favor of the accused, an employee of the Kenema District Council believed to have close ties with the magistrate.

During an exclusive interview with the victim’s mother, she expressed her frustration, stating her daughter is still battling serious health complications as a result of the assault.

The mother concluded her plea by pleading that she needs support to ensure that her daughter receives the justice she deserves. She has earnestly called on human rights groups and the public to help her seek justice.
