Residents of Kenema have officially appealed to popular Sierra Leonean rapper, Alhaji Amadu Bah, widely known as LAJ, to organise a free musical concert in the city following the resolution of his legal dispute with the Kenema City Council at the Bo Judiciary Court.
According to residents, the proposed concert is being viewed as a step toward rebuilding trust and strengthening relations among the musician, city authorities, and community members after months of public attention surrounding the matter.
Some residents said the appeal reflects the desire of many people in Kenema to move beyond the disagreements that previously created tension and disappointment among supporters of the city administration and fans of the artist.
The call for the free concert comes shortly after the legal matter involving LAJ and the Kenema City Council was resolved through the court process at the Bo Judiciary Court, bringing closure to the dispute.
Residents who spoke on the development said a free show by the rapper would not only provide entertainment for young people and music supporters but would also help promote unity, reconciliation, and healing within the city.
Community members further expressed hope that such an event could create a more positive relationship between the artist and the people of Kenema following the earlier disagreements that attracted public concern.
Despite the growing calls from residents, LAJ has not publicly responded to the appeal, and it remains unclear whether the rapper will agree to stage the proposed concert.
For now, public attention remains focused on the celebrated musician as residents and supporters continue to await his next move following the resolution of the legal dispute.
