FBC Student Lands in Court For Cybersecurity Breaches

After Preliminary Investigation at the Magistrate Court for various offenses, Magistrate Mark Ngegba has committed Alimany N’jai Sesay to the high court for trial
The accused was charged with 5 counts ranging from cyber stalking and bullying, sending hatred messages using a Computer System/Network Contrary to Section 44 (2) (b) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021, Act No. 7 of 2021; sending enmity messages using computer system network with intent to provoke the Citizens of Sierra Leone to Commit the breach of peace; distributing racist material to the public through a computer system, contrary to Section 51 (1) (a) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act No 2021, Act No. 7 of 2021, and public insult through a computer system contrary to Section 52 (1) (C) of of the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021 Act No. 7 of 2021.
Five witnesses testified including two Cyber Officers from CID, the investigator, and the Exhibit Clerk.
