A devastating fire has destroyed the Jes-Ka-Mac 1 Entertainment Complex located on Regent Road in Lumley, western Freetown, causing extensive damage and significant financial losses.

The blaze broke out on Thursday, August 6, 2026, and rapidly spread through the popular entertainment facility, leaving much of the structure completely destroyed. The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

AYV reported that residents and community members immediately joined efforts to contain the fire while waiting for personnel from the National Fire Force to arrive.

The extent of the damage is substantial, with the entertainment complex reportedly reduced to ruins. No official information has yet been released regarding casualties or injuries.
