Sierra Leone’s Former Ambassador to the Republic of South Korea, Ambassador Omrie Golley on Saturday 4 March 2023 commissioned two agriculture dripping training centers in the South-Eastern regions of Sierra Leone.
The two centers are located in the Regional Headquarters towns of Bo and Kenema districts and will serve as training facilities for indigenes in the respective regions.
Ambassador Golley said that they have developed the system to train people on a free basis as no one will have to pay anything to be trained in the modern and advanced dripping technology at the centers.
He added that the commissioning of the centers is a fulfillment of his vision to revolutionize the agriculture sector of the country at all levels.
“All the materials needed have been airfreighted into the country,” he said, furthering that even the experts had been in the country to install the system.
Golley noted that the communities will have to recruit their local people to get first-class training, whilst promising that he is working on rolling out two additional centers for Makeni City and Pujehun districts respectively.
This according to him is to have a national rollout of the initiative and help farmers across the country.
