Sulaiman Jalloh made his initial appearance at the Waterloo Magistrate Court, facing grave charges stemming from a violent attack on Mohamed Lamarana Barrie. The incident took place around midnight on June 5 in Deep Eye Water, where Jalloh is accused of breaking into Barrie’s home and cutting his throat with a sharp knife. Witnesses described the assault as exceedingly brutal, likening it to the slaughter of livestock.

Jalloh faces multiple charges, including wounding with intent, attempted murder, wounding, and assault, all in violation of Sierra Leone law. During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty to the charges; however, the absence of legal representation resulted in no formal plea being recorded.

Currently held at the Waterloo Correctional Centre, Suilaiman Jalloh is expected to return to court for a committal hearing on June 27, 2025. In the meantime, the victim, Mohamed Lamarana Barrie, is receiving ongoing medical treatment for his injuries.
